Source & license

The public software and Lean mathematics live in separate repositories. The published website files are on the software repository's gh-pages branch. The site builder runs in a private working repository.

License

Reuse follows the repository license and the linked source paths.

Security & public boundary

Security reports use the private vulnerability-reporting route; this policy explains what belongs there and what the public repository does not authorize.

Provenance

Plectis is an independent, AI-assisted project by Will Cook. The standalone software release and the Lean mathematics companion are public repositories; the working root and site builder behind them are private. Microcosm remains a legacy and technical compatibility name for repo paths, package ids, generated state, and historical links.

Acknowledgements

I would like to thank Wouter van Doorn and Thomas Bloom for taking the time to read and respond to an early partial-proof attempt connected to the companion Erdős #249/#257 project. Their kindness, candour, and useful feedback helped me better distinguish formal reformulation from meaningful mathematical progress and pushed the work towards a more disciplined, evidence-first direction.

This is a thank-you for their time and feedback; it does not imply endorsement of Plectis or of any mathematical claim.

Lineage

Microcosm became Plectis on 21 June 2026 after a public naming check found an established Southampton hypermedia system with the same name. The acknowledgement is source-backed and does not imply endorsement or affiliation.

Updates

Plectis has no mailing list or signup database. Public changes are exposed through the generated update feed and repository routes.

Site contract

The site is a static projection over public source refs. It has no runtime backend and no browser path back into the private working environment. It is not legal, financial, investment, trading, security, medical, or other professional advice.

The public software and Lean repositories are the sources of record for their released artifacts. This site maps those artifacts alongside curated publication inputs; when a site claim disagrees with linked source, consult the source.

The component index draws on released component records and private working inputs. Other pages combine released sources with curated publication inputs through the private generator. The current content fingerprint is 89a79dc365b2367a9b2c763205975e03; when the source changes, a rebuild regenerates the pages and a drift check fails until the site is current.

Projection status

A private generator assembles this static site. The panel identifies its source records; the machine record beside it also reports which fields were too internal to show and were deliberately omitted. The published output and linked public sources can be inspected in the repositories above.
