Plectis Atlas Copyright 2026 Will Cook and contributors This repository is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI. It quotes and indexes material from the OpenAI mathematics collection, https://github.com/openai/math, Copyright OpenAI, licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0. Quoted titles, abstracts, theorem statements, Lean statement files and scope notes are reproduced from the commit recorded in upstream.json, with links to their source files. Original Atlas code and documentation are licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0 (LICENSE). Imported code, fonts, quotations and source records retain their own copyright and licence terms; generated collections do not relicense the material they contain. Explanations contributed under contributions/explanations/ are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (LICENSES/CC-BY-4.0.txt), and their authors are credited by name. Data from other projects, imported under their licences and credited where each value appears: - curated/sources/cert-machine.json: verdicts from Carlos Toledo's audit of openai/math in cert-machine, https://github.com/carlostoledo1891/cert-machine, Copyright (c) 2026 Carlos Toledo, MIT License (LICENSES/MIT-cert-machine.txt). - curated/sources/nealmcb-lean-tooling.json: Comparator verdicts from Neal McBurnett's openai-math-lean-tooling, https://github.com/nealmcb/openai-math-lean-tooling, Copyright (c) 2026 Neal McBurnett, MIT License (LICENSES/MIT-openai-math-lean-tooling.txt). - curated/sources/hol-cards.json: for each HOL Light card, what it certifies and its relation to the release's Lean, quoted from the README of Ben Knill's openai-math-hol-cards, https://github.com/BenKnill/openai-math-hol-cards, under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (LICENSES/CC-BY-4.0.txt). Changed: table cells only, with Markdown links and code marks removed. - curated/sources/mathvet.json: verdicts and checks from MathVet's review of openai/math, https://github.com/mathvet/mathvet, licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0 (LICENSES/Apache-2.0.txt). The atlas changed their form: codes are kept and plain sentences are added beside them. Findings recorded in curated/community.json are short paraphrases of other people's public work, each linked to its source and credited by name. Type and mathematics served with the site: - site/assets/fonts/: subsets of STIX Two Text, STIX Two Math and Source Sans 3, copied from Will Cook's Plectis site, under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 (LICENSES/OFL-STIX-Two.txt, LICENSES/OFL-Source-Sans-3.txt); the faces are renamed Plectis Serif, Plectis Sans, Plectis Math and Plectis MathML. STIX is credited to the STIX Fonts Project Authors and Tiro Typeworks; Source Sans 3 to Adobe and designer Paul D. Hunt. The font files retain their original copyright metadata, including Adobe 2023 for Source Sans 3. - site/assets/vendor/katex-0.18.9/: KaTeX 0.18.9 JavaScript and CSS, Copyright (c) 2013-2020 Khan Academy and other contributors, MIT License (LICENSES/MIT-KaTeX.txt); the minified build and its auto-render extension. - site/assets/vendor/katex-0.18.9/fonts/: unmodified KaTeX WOFF2 fonts, Copyright (c) 2009-2010 Design Science, Inc. and Copyright (c) 2014-2018 Khan Academy, under SIL Open Font License 1.1. Their embedded notices, reserved font names and full licence are retained in LICENSES/OFL-KaTeX-Fonts.txt. The software's MIT licence does not replace the fonts' terms. See https://github.com/KaTeX/KaTeX/issues/339. The distributed file inventory, source links, versions and modifications are recorded in LICENSES/manifest.json. The website includes copies of this notice, LICENSE, CITATION.cff, LICENSES/ and the imported backend notice. backend/ contains a generated export from Statement Map by Will Cook, at the revision in backend/EXPORT.json. Its original NOTICE.md is retained byte for byte. That notice describes the wider backend repository; its source-relative paths refer to that repository, and its implementation is not included here. The exported third-party records retain the terms and credits above. Thomas Bloom's erdosproblems.com and the OpenAI Math Tier List are cited source records with no general reuse licence asserted by the Atlas. Their explanatory prose is not covered by the Atlas licence. See curated/sources/ for the actual captured fields and docs/ATTRIBUTION.md for the difference between citing a source, reproducing material, recording a report and using an idea. The squarified-treemap routine in scripts/build_site.py implements the method of Mark Bruls, Kees Huizing and Jarke J. van Wijk, Squarified Treemaps (2000), DOI 10.1007/978-3-7091-6783-0_4. The paper is cited, not redistributed.
